About us

The testing laboratory was established in 2003.

Since 2006 it is accredited by EA BAS in accordance with the requirements of BDS EN ISO / IEC 17025. Registration number 150 LE.

This is the first accredited laboratory for testing of polymeric materials in Bulgaria, including Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC-U) Profiles for the production of windows and doors BDS EN 12608-1: 2016.

Since March 2009 notified body for assessment and verification of constancy of performance of construction products under System 3 – NB 2145 in accordance with the requirements of REGULATION (EU) No 305/2011 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 9 March 2011 of harmonized conditions for the marketing of construction products on the market, as well as REGULATION RD-02-20-1 of 5 February 2015 on the conditions and procedure for the incorporation of construction products into the construction of the Republic of Bulgaria.

In its scope of activity, the testing laboratory has verified the constancy of performance of three main groups of construction products:

DOORS FOR INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS AND GARAGES – Compliance with BDS EN 13241-1: 2003 + A1: 2011 and BDS EN 13241: 2003 + A2: 2016 Part 1: Products without fire or smoke protection characteristics;

DOORS AND WINDOWS – Compliance with BDS EN 14351-1: 2006 + A1: 2010 and BDS EN 14351-1: 2006 + A2: 2016 Part 1: Windows and exterior doors without flame resistance and/or smoke leakage characteristics;

CURTAIN WALLS – BS EN13830: 2003.

Ph.D. Eng. Petranka Naydenova – Marinova

Head of the testing laboratory since 2003. Graduated her higher education in the Department “Polymer Engineering” of the Chemical Technology and Metallurgy University, Bachelor with specialty “Natural and synthetic elastomers”. Master’s degree “Engineering Design and Synthesis of Polymers”

Doctor of Technology and processing of plastics and fiberglasses.

Professional experience – 23 years.

PhD. Eng. Hristo Georgiev

Chemical Engineer, Master of Organic Chemical Technologies. He graduated from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia.

New 2019 team member Metrological Insurance Manager.

Eng. Irina Georgieva

Chemical Engineer, Master in Organic Chemical Technology. Graduated her higher education in the Department “Polymer Engineering” of the Chemical Technology and Metallurgy University – Sofia.

Responsible person for the quality in the testing laboratory.

Experience in the specialty 7 years.
